On 1st August 1984, brothers David and Paul Charlton commenced trading as D&P Haulage with one flat bed 16T lorry. Based at a disused railway station yard near Cherry Burton, Beverley, they immediately began to develop a reputation for reliability and service.
D&P Haulage continued to operate from Cherry Burton throughout the 80’s and 90’s and year on year the fleet continued to grow as more customers were attracted by the high service levels offered.
In September 2000, the fleet had reached over 30 vehicles and the Company moved to a 4-acre site located within one mile of the Port of Hull. The site was developed and a 50,000 sq ft warehouse was built which opened for business in March 2001.
Today, D&P Haulage employ over 100 staff and operate 65 HGV vehicles. Our warehousing capacity has now grown to approx 180,000 sq ft of storage space over 9 acres.
D&P Haulage collect from Hull and East Yorkshire, delivering nationwide. D&P Haulage is well established to continue to meet demanding transport requirements well into the future.
