Accounting Technician Apprenticeship Advanced Level 3 (A level)

MAP are looking to hire Accounting Technicians to join their team! This is a great opportunity at an employer who can teach you everything you need to know to become a fantastic accountant. You’ll have access to a supportive leadership team, dedicated to helping you accelerate your career in accounting. Provide credit control for clients, raising sales invoices for clients.

In this client facing role, you will be involved in a variety of duties to help support the finance function of MAP clients. The work means you will gain a much broader deeper understanding of how to support modern businesses.

Typical daily duties will include:

• Weekly bookkeeping for clients
• Prepare 2-degree reports (Quarterly snap shot of clients’ finances and key points to note)
• Provide credit control for clients
• Raising sales invoices for clients
• Paying staff salaries for clients
• Making supplier payments for clients
• Prepare cost reviews for clients
• Prepare MAP service reviews for our clients each quarter

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Assistant Accountant Level 3 Standard.

MAP want all their apprentices to complete their AAT studies. You will have 20% of your working week dedicated to your studies, 10% of which will be spent physically at The Apprentice Academy in Manchester, and the other 10% will provide you time to work on revision for any upcoming exams and to complete any administrative tasks set by The Academy or required for your apprenticeship.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

All Apprenticeships are considered permanent. We will support learners with each level of AAT before moving onto further accounting qualifications e.g., ACCA.
