Dog grooming apprentice

We are looking for an assistant dog groomer to help with the bathing, drying, prep work for the dogs, cleaning and organising the salon. Must be reliable, passionate, hardworking, and of course love dogs. Apply now!

Daily tasks will include: 

  • Bathing, drying, and preparing dogs getting them ready for their full grooms
  • Tidying and organising the salon
  • Will also then develop into dealing with customers, looking, and organising the booking system, answering the phone, and making bookings through the phone
  • We will also help develop the apprentice to understand all the knowledge of the coats and to then move on to help them learn with their grooming, cuts, scissoring and hygiene for level 2

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Training will be provided by Leeds City College by online as a delivery method by Leeds City college assessor
  • There will be work based visits from the assessor as part of the apprenticeship
  • Qualification will be level two dog grooming which will enable the candidate to be a fully qualified groomer

The employer will also provide training in:

  • First aid
  • Canine first aid
