The early years apprentice will support other practitioners in providing a safe, caring, stimulating educational environment for children both indoors and outdoors. They will help to deliver an appropriate play based curriculum that enables children to make individual progress.
This is an Advanced Apprenticeship as an Early Years Educator and will include a combination of on and off the job training in the workplace. You will have monthly mentoring and guidance at work from a Craven College Learning & Development Advisor alongside weekly college attendance. After 18 months you will be entered to undertake an End Point Assessment, to complete your Apprenticeship.
Apprentices must successfully complete the Level 3 Early years educator qualification plus Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF) or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid (RQF) to meet the EYFS requirements.
The End Point Assessment will comprise of a Knowledge Test and Professional Discussion underpinned by a Portfolio of evidence.
May lead to permanent employment once qualified.
Progression roles include SENCO, safeguarding or Health and safety officers. Room leads.
