Role:
This amazing role will educate and train the successful apprentice to become a competent and confident mechanical maintenance engineer, through effective classroom and on the job learning.
The Apprentice Maintenance Technician is an entry level training role which includes Level 3 Qualifications. Whilst on site, the role is responsible for:
• Supporting the department with monitoring maintenance activities to ensure product quality, schedule achievement, minimal downtime and a safe working environment
• Reacting to machine breakdowns in a timely fashion
• Updating the correct paperwork to ensure reporting is accurate and up to date
• Performing preventative maintenance activities to a schedule determined by the maintenance team
Together with invaluable commercial and practical experience, you’ll gain several academic and vocational qualifications throughout your time with us, which are fully paid for, including:
● Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence) – off the job full time at Make UK in Aston, Birmingham in year 1
● Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence)
● Level 3 BTEC Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge)
● In house training in line with your requirements.
Initial role following completion of this apprenticeship would be Maintenance Technician, however people can carry on with further study up to degree apprenticeship level and into other engineering roles in the organisation.
