The Kitchen Apprentice will play a key role in supporting the kitchen and front of house staff to run the café at Southside Youth and Community Centre. This includes working in the kitchen to produce food of a high quality, which is healthy and nutritious.
The post holder is expected to develop and maintain positive relationships with staff and young people to ensure that the Café and Kitchen can collaborate with others to deliver projects, catering, and work experience.
Accountabilities and responsibilities are:
The apprentice will be required to work flexible hours outside of their normal working hours to help with functions, projects, and events. Prior notice will be given.
Level 2 Production Chef apprenticeship standard.
Apprentices without level 1 English and maths will need to achieve level 1 and take the test for level 2 English and maths prior to taking the end-point assessment.
After completion of the apprenticeship there may be an opportunity for a permanent role.
