We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Apprentice EYFS practitioner. They will be a strong team player and be able to work in a busy a diverse setting, communicating well with staff and children and promoting good relationships with our families whilst maintaining confidentiality at all times.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Apprentice EYFS practitioner to motivate and inspire children aged between 2-5 years old in our nursery.

The successful candidate will be willing to work towards a relevant level 3 qualification and to work in an Early Years setting with 2-5 year olds.

As our apprentice you will:

• Be a strong team player working in a busy and diverse setting
• Have a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
• Have a flexible and positive attitude and be able to work as part of a team. To be able to take direction from senior staff members
• Complete all learning tasks on time
• Be reliable, punctual and organised
• Communicate well with staff, children and their families
• Be able to take notes and be able to use simple computer forms
• Comply with existing pre-school dress code
• Have a positive attitude to working as part of a team and have good communication skills
• Maintain confidentiality with all information relating to preschool children, their families and staff

Functional Skills in English and maths if required
End Point Assessment: Observation with Questioning & Professional Discussion

Things to consider

We are open during Somerset term times only.
Parking is available in Chewton Church car park which is situated behind Chewton Mendip School.
We may require some flexible working from 7.45am or until 4.40pm to cover for existing staff absences.
