Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship level 3 – Irthington Village School Advanced Level 3 (A level)

Irthington Village School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual with the ability to support the class teacher and facilitate learning with pupils through play and structured activities as a teaching Assistant Apprentice, setting up and tidying away the classroom, preparing resources, plus much more.

• Setting up and tidying away the classroom
• Preparing resources
• working with small groups of children (following the Teacher’s planning)
• Listening to the children read; marking the children’s work and recording progress made
• Cover playtime duty; Working as part of team
• Attending staff meetings and training as appropriate

• City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching & Learning in Schools 
• Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship Standard
• IOSH Working Safely
• Level 1 in Mental Health First Aid
• Level 3 Diploma in Paediatric Emergency First Aid

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

There may be the opportunity to continue with an exciting career. This is depending on funding on completion of the Apprenticeship.
